Regulatory Cooperation

The internal European electricity market is becoming increasingly integrated and harmonised. The development of rules and regulations in EU are of great importance for Norway.

The Norwegian Energy Regulatory Authority (NVE-RME) is engaged in several international activities in order to contribute to the development of a common Nordic and European internal market for electricity and gas. NVE-RME cooperates with national energy regulating authorities in the Nordic and European countries and participates as far as possible through NordREG (the Nordic Energy Regulators), CEER (Council of European Regulators) and ACER (Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators).
