Higher Norwegian net import. The Norwegian net import increased by 128 GWh, and was 298 GWh during week 17. The import came from Denmark and Sweden.

Increase in the Swedish nuclear power contributed to power surplus in Sweden and high import to Norway.

Higher prices during the weekend, compared to the week before, contributed to the increase during the weekend.

Norwegian reservoir levels augmented with 3.0 percentage points, whereas the increase was 2.7 percentage points the week before. At the end of week 17 the reservoir level was 25.9 percent, which is 8.7 percentage points below normal.

- It looks like falling spot prices and higher forward prices lead to more storing of water among the Norwegian power producers. At the same time as lower prices abroad arrange for high import. The result is high increase in the reservoir levels, says temporary director of the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate Anne Britt Leifseth.
