Lower power prices throughout the Nordic countries. Milder weather reduced the power consumption in large parts of Scandinavia in week 47.
Along with a lot of precipitation, high Danish wind power production and increased Swedish nuclear power production this contributed to a reduction in the Nordic power prices compared with the week before. The Swedish price area SE3 had the greatest price reduction with a fall of almost 20 percent. The Danish pricearea, Sjaelland, had a price reduction of 17 percent. Prices in the Norwegian market area were on average 30 NOK øre/kWh, which is 6 to 14 percent lower than in week 46. Power prices in the Nordic market are now several places 40 percent lower than in the same period last year.
