The power situation week 30, 2010

04.08.2010 | 14:00

Decrease in Norwegian power production. While the Norwegian power consumption was approximately unchanged, the Norwegian power production decreased by 215 GWh from week 29 to 30.

The production decrease is partly due to lower inflow than normal. At the same time there was available more production capacity in the Swedish nuclear power stations. Together with higher Danish wind production this has resulted in lower prices on import. The total Norwegian net import was 137 GWh last week. The week before Norway net exported 64 GWh electric power.

The reservoir level went up by 0.9 percentage points during week 30. The reservoir level is now 62,6 percent. That is 19,6 percentage points below the median level of the week.
