Increased Norwegian power demand. Colder weather in most parts of Norway contributed to a 2.6 percent increase in Norwegian power demand from week 2 to week 3, resulting in a total power consumption of 3078 GWh.
The power production did not increase enough to off-set the increased consumption, hence the Norwegian net export was reduced by 37 GWh, to 480 GWh.
Except some few hours on Friday night, Norway experienced net export on all the weekdays last week. Due to high production levels from wind energy in Germany and Denmark, Norway had high import of power during the weekend. This contributed to the total decrease in Norwegian net exports for week 3.
