Lower increase in the reservoir level. Norwegian reservoir levels augmented with 1.0 percentage points, whereas the increase was 3.0 percentage points the week before.
The lower increase was due to lower inflow, higher consumption caused by colder weather and higher production. At the end of week 17 the reservoir level was 26.9 percent, which is 7.3 percentage points below normal.
The Norwegian net import decreased by 133 GWh, and was 164 GWh during week 18. Lower temperature gave increase in the Nordic consumption, and higher demand for the Norwegian water power. The Norwegian power production increased by 214 GWh.
The Nordic power prices increased during week 18. In Norway the prices increased between 17 and 20 percents. Higher consumption and lower inflow contributed to the price increase. It was small differences between the weekly prices in the five Norwegian elspot areas. The weekly average was around 44.9 øre/kWh.
