The main tasks of the International Section are project preparation of energy and water resources related projects and cost and quality control of projects and programmes during implementation.
The major part of the professional work is carried out by staff from the varioustechnical departments and sections of NVE. During 2008 a total of 62 persons were involved in the assistance, compared to 46 in the previous year. In addition, private consultants and professionals from other directorates and research institutions were sub-contracted to assist NVE in cases where NVE either lacked competence or was temporarily short of capacity.
