Most of NVE’s activities connected to development assistance are part of institutional cooperation with partner institutions in a developing country.
Out of NVE’s recorded hours on development assistance in 2009, approximately 50 % (or 5,5 person-years) was spent directly on cooperation with 10 institutions in 8 countries. In addition to this comes the preparatory work for the institutional agreements.
The institutional cooperation is always based on signed contracts, clearly defined objectives, scope and mode of work, time schedule, obligations of the parties, reporting, and total budget.
